Who we are.
Catlett & Company, Inc. has been doing business as Trigg, Catlett & Associates since 1992 when Lance M. Trigg MAI retired. Prior to this time, Lance founded Trigg Appraisal Services in 1950. In 1981 Frank A. Catlett, MAI, SRA joined the firm and the name changed to Trigg, Catlett & Associates, Inc. As a tribute to our long standing involvement in the community and Lance M. Trigg, being a familiar and reputable name, the firm now operates under the name of Trigg, Catlett & Associates. The firm presently has four appraisers on staff, as well as one administrative staff. Frank A. Catlett, MAI, SRA has fostered the education and development of ten other MAIs over the course of time and trained a number of associates, one of which is currently pursuing his MAI designation.

Frank A. Catlett, MAI, SRA
Frank A. Catlett has been a real estate lender/underwriter, appraiser and broker since 1975 in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Catlett attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate and graduate studies with a concentration in Geography, Real Estate and Urban Planning. He is also a graduate of the School of Banking of the South at LSU. He has attained the MAI and SRA designations with the Appraisal Institute and also serves as an instructor for the Appraisal Institute. Additionally, he serves as both an appraiser and reviewer for several governmental agencies and has also served as a Special Master to the Value Adjustment Board for Hillsborough County. Mr. Catlett is known for his analytical skills and ability to tackle the most diverse and difficult appraisal assignments. These would include assignments involved in air rights, submerged lands, reservoirs, regional manufacturing and distribution facilities up to 1.8 million square feet, aquarium attractions, natural springs, communication towers, contaminated properties, Transfer of Development Rights, and numerous perpetual conservation easements. Mr. Catlett has considerable expert witness experience in 17 counties and circuit courts in Florida and North Carolina as well as 6 federal courts nationwide. He joined Trigg Appraisal Services in 1981, thereafter becoming Trigg Catlett & Associates and has overseen this full service appraisal firm since 1991 upon the retirement of Lance M. Trigg, MAI. He also maintains an appraisal office in Boone, North Carolina. Mr. Catlett served on active duty with the Army as well as the Florida National Guard with last assignment as a Captain on Battalion Staff, 53rd Support Battalion, 53rd Infantry Brigade. His hobbies include sailing, hunting and fly fishing as well as travel abroad. He lives primarily in Tampa and secondarily in Boone, North Carolina with his wife Janet. They have two sons that are graduates of Virginia Tech and the University of Alabama.

Kyle is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration with a minor in Spanish Language. He is a third generation Tampa native and graduate of Jesuit High School. Appraisal assignments that he has been involved in include, ranches, springs, citrus operations, industrial warehouses, self-storage facilities, residential, perpetual conservation easements, office buildings and retail centers, day care centers and eminent domain projects. Kyle enjoys playing golf, fishing and spending time with his wife.
